DEG welcomes written correspondence through the medium of English and Welsh. All correspondence received through the medium of Welsh will be answered in Welsh. We will make every effort to ensure that all correspondence received through the medium of Welsh is addressed within the same timeframe as English correspondence.
People are welcome to speak English or Welsh when dealing with DEG over the phone. If an employee is unable to provide a bilingual service, they will explain the situation to the individual and offer a Welsh-medium service from another employee of staff. If there are no Welsh speakers available, the person calling can choose to have a Welsh-speaking person give them a call back; submit the request in writing (hard copy/email); or continue the conversation through the medium of English.
DEG is currently ensuring that those wishing to have face-to-face contact with a Welsh-speaking employee can do so either physically or virtually, depending on working arrangements in place by DEG at the time. This may not always be possible, but efforts will be made to offer the full service as far as possible.

Welsh Team – Disability Sport Wales has team members across all parts of the organisation who can fully provide services and support in Welsh.
