· Swansea Bay University Health Board is responsible for secondary healthcare services across the counties of Swansea and Neath Port Talbot. The Health Board's main hospitals in Morriston, Singleton and Aberafan provide planned care. In addition, acute services are available through their Minor Injuries Unit at Neath Port Talbot Hospital and their Emergency Department in Morriston.
· The Health Board is home to one of two cardiac centres in Wales, and to the Welsh Centre for Burns and Plastic Surgery. They also have a community hospital and a number of primary care resource centres that provide clinical services outside the walls of their main hospitals.
