Promoting the Services of Public Organisations

• The Pembrokeshire Coast National Park Authority is fully committed to the principle of enabling and supporting Welsh speakers to use their language in all aspects of their lives and recognises its responsibility to facilitate and promote this use.

  •    The Education/schools service where sessions can be delivered in the language of choice of the School;
  •    Marketing/promotion, for example through the Authority’s Press releases, Facebook and Instagram posts;
  •    Consultation on the review of the Authority’s Local Development Plan 2

Pembrokeshire County Council provides a wide range of bilingual services for its customers. 

• Their Contact Centre provides the first point of contact for customers on 01437 764551. 
• They will respond in the language in which the correspondence is received (unless asked not to).

Their 'My Account' is an online council account for all their online services. It is easy to use, mobile friendly, safe and secure, and able to offer a wide range of services that can be accessed online such as: making payments, reporting problems, and individuals can sign up to notifications e.g. bin day, school closures and bridge closures.

The Public Services Ombudsman for Wales has three main roles:

• investigating complaints about public services and independent care providers
• considering complaints that councillors in Wales have breached the Code of Conduct
• driving systemic improvement in public services and standards of behaviour in local government
