The form Deganwy (with a single -n-) is recommended on the basis of evidence of usage, despite it not being the form recommended in A Gazetteer of Welsh Place-Names (University of Wales Press, 1967).
The northern local pronunciation with a hard consonant -w- also justifies not doubling the -n- in this name.
