The National Eisteddfod is held between 5 and 12 August, and we are really looking forward to being in Boduan for the week. We hope to have the opportunity to chat with many of you on our stand.

As well as the opportunity for you to come and talk to our staff every day, interact with our place-name map and ask any questions, we will also have numerous activities on the stand and around the Eisteddfod field.

This will of course be Efa Gruffudd Jones' first National Eisteddfod as Welsh Language Commissioner and on Monday morning, 7 August at 11am in Societies 1, she will be part of a panel discussion looking at the use of the Welsh language in the workplace and the community. She will be joined on the panel by representatives from Ise of Anglesey County Council, Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board and the National Centre for Learning Welsh. The chair of the session will be the presenter and broadcaster Iwan Griffiths.

On Wednesday, 9 August at 12pm in Cytûn we will be part of a discussion organised by the Wales Voluntary Services Council which will look at the benefits for charities of using the Welsh language in their fundraising campaigns.

We will be contributing to a number of other events so keep an eye on our social media for further information.

On our stand there will be a variety of activities, and many offered by our partners and those who have received the Cynnig Cymraeg (Welsh Offer).

On Wednesday, 9 August representatives from NSPCC Wales will join us and you will have the opportunity to learn about their Cynnig Cymraeg, and their work in Wales. There will be PANTS activities for the children on the stand, and a chance to meet PANTSASORWS. At 1pm we will announce the name of the Welsh Language Commissioner's official charity of the year.

On Thursday 10 August Cymru Kids’ Clubs will be joining us on the stand to offer a range of fun activities including a treasure hunt, arts and crafts and an amazing lego challenge to celebrate the rich culture and heritage of Wales.

On Friday the Welsh Game and Wildlife Conservation Trust (GWCT Cymru) will be on our stand holding an interactive activity on different species, their names, their importance and what we can do to help them.

Also on Friday, Rhys Morgan Davies will entertain the children with a series of well-known and popular Welsh songs, and everyone is welcome to join.

Something for everyone, so why not pop in and see us - a warm welcome awaits you.
