We communicate bilingually and work with partners to ensure that content is available in both Welsh and English. We also facilitate meetings and events where Welsh can be used naturally.
Why is using Welsh important to your organisation and the sport sector in general?
Welsh is key to creating an inclusive sector. As an organisation that works with partners, we lead by example and help to normalise the use of Welsh across the sector.
Describe the process of creating a Welsh Language Development Plan, from the decision to prepare a plan to receiving recognition from the Commissioner.
We assessed our provision, identified gaps, and created a clear plan with action steps to strengthen the use of Welsh across our work and partnerships.
Why is it important that you have received the Cynnig Cymraeg? What are the benefits for you?
It demonstrates our commitment and gives confidence to users and partners. It also helps us influence others to develop their Welsh-language provision.
What are the benefits of offering a Welsh language service to your service users?
It enables people to use their language of choice and to feel a part of Welsh culture, improving their experience and increasing trust, while also encouraging broader provision through our partners.
Could you share a recent example of good use of the Welsh language with us?
As a new organisation, we have committed to bilingual communication from the outset and work with partners to ensure that Welsh is a natural part of the experience when engaging with us.
Would you encourage others to work towards the Cynnig Cymraeg, and why?
